Stop hitting ChatGPT limits - plan around peak hours
Shared AI capacity is tightest during US business hours. A few timing tweaks stretch your limits noticeably.
Most AI limits aren’t just about how much you use - they’re about when. During peak demand, shared capacity tightens, models get slower, and per-feature caps (image generation, deep research, uploads) drain faster.
When it’s tight
Peak tends to land in US daytime hours (roughly 1-7pm ET across providers). If you’re in Europe or Asia, your evening is their crunch.
Three quick wins
- Batch heavy jobs off-peak. Long research runs and image batches are much happier in your early morning.
- Take the nudge. When a peak-hour alert fires, that’s a good moment to step away - you’ll come back to a fresh window.
- Split models. If one model’s per-feature cap is low, move routine work to a lighter model and save the expensive one for when it matters.
The extension flags peak hours per provider and nudges you to rest, so you spend your best limits on your best work.
